Gay Jackson Hole

Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains teeming with adventure and wildlife, sits the ski town of Jackson Hole. When one thinks of Wyoming we picture wide open spaces, tumbleweeds, and rugged men in tight blue jeans. Jackson Hole certainly offers all that, but this isn't some sleepy little Western town; this up-incoming paradise offers lively nights filled with dancing, music, and incredible food. No matter where you go, there will be a view to take your breath away. 

Jackson is the most liberal town in the state and although the population is only 10,000, there are several LGBTQ+ groups for the queer community and allies. The influx of more progressive and open-minded homeowners has beautifully transformed this aesthetically gorgeous town so it's beautiful inside and out. 

When we say beautiful, boy oh boy, we mean it. The moment you step out of the airport you are standing in Teton National Park and the majesty of nature will blow you away. Once you make it into town get ready for endless insta opportunities. Downtown Jackson Hole looks like a Hollywood set it is so quintessentially and authentically Western, complete with a grassy town square and cowboy outfitters stores. 

Although there are no bars specifically for the LGBTQ+ community, most if not all businesses are gay-friendly. This town is welcoming and accommodating to the many flavors of travelers that come to play and because of this, you should feel safe and invited anywhere you go. 

The time of year you visit depends entirely on what you want to get up to! If you are in the mood to wander the woods, picking wildflowers and enjoying the scent of damp pine, then book your trip for Spring! If however, you want to get physical and go white water rafting and horseback riding through a lush, vibrant valley, summer is the time for you. Of course, Autumn can't be beaten; enjoying a warm cider from one of the local breweries while roasting smores over an open fire pit! For our ski bums, Winter is obviously the choice for you, and you will not be disappointed. Book your stay at one of the resorts and treat yourself to a beautiful day of snow.
